We have zero concerns about you loving the new zero-turn lawn mowers released by Deere for 2019. Deere has expanded its zero-turn lawn mower lineup with the edition of the all new Z700 Series and another all new diesel, commercial-grade ZTrak, the Z994R. These zero-turn mowers were designed with you in mind to meet the varying needs and priorities of all different kinds of property owners. Z700 Series Zero-Turn Mowers
The Z700 Series is designed for larger property owners who are seeking commercial-grade quality with basic functionality and incredible durability. These mowers are going to help you get the job done quickly and efficiently and get you back to what you really want to be doing. There are 5 new mowers in 3 categories of finishes E, M, and R.
Durability and Ease
They all feature a strong, durable frame and a commercial-grade reinforced high-capacity PRO mower deck, ranging in size from 48-60 inches. These decks were designed to minimize grass clumping at high speeds, plus you have the option to add mulch control (located on the mower deck). In addition to the extreme durability, these mowers make it easy for any operator. The height-of-cut is easily adjusted using a dial on the control panel. A spring assisted foot-lift allows you to quickly raise or lower the deck and lock it in place for transport. For convenience, there is an integrated park brake that is automatically activated when both of the control levers are in the locked out position. Plus, the 8-gallon fuel tank will keep you running all day long.
Comfort and Adjustability
One of the highlights of these new models is their comfort. They feature an adjustable foot platform that can be adjusted in 3 different positions forward or back without tools. You can adjust the position for your personal operating comfort. You can also adjust the control levers’ positions, giving you more leg room and hand placement options.
Service and Cleaning
For easy maintenance and cleaning, the mowers are equipped with a flip-up seat, flip-up spindle covers and a removable foot platform to directly access the mower deck when servicing.
Trim Levels
The three different models come with a variety of different finishes and features including unique engines, transmissions, seats, and warranties.
- E Models: 21-in. seat with adjustable spring-mounted suspension and armrests, reach speeds up to 8 mph, 4 Year/500 Hour warranty
- M Models: 22 ½-in. ComfortGlide™ fore/aft suspension seat, reach speeds up to 9.5 mph, 4 Year/750 Hour warranty
- R Models: 24-in. seat with adjustable tilt and adjustable suspension you can set based on the operator’s weight, commercial-grade powertrain, dual-stage air filter, optional Michelin Tweel™ tires, reach speeds up to 10 mph, 4 Year/1,000 Hour warranty

Z994R Commercial Zero-Turn Mower
If you’re in the market for a diesel lawn mower, the Z994R may be the zero-turn mower for you. Customers have been looking for more diesel ZTrak options, and Deere answered their needs with the all new Z994R. This mower was designed for performance and efficiency all while promoting enhanced comfort, increased productivity, lower operating costs and longer engine life.
Performance and Productivity
The Z994R is powered by a three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine with gross SAE J1995, PS 24.7 hp rated power at 3200 rpm that meets Final Tier 4 emission standards. The high-torque, low-emission engine provides power for tough conditions with low vibration and noise levels. The single 11.5 gallon fuel tank will keep you running until the job is done. The three mower deck options include a 54-in. or 60-in. 7-Iron™ PRO side-discharge mower deck, or the 60-in. 7-Iron PRO Mulch On Demand™ mower deck that can easily change from side-discharge mode to fully chambered mulching mode with a single lever. You can also get your Z994R equipped with Michelin Tweel™ tires to virtually eliminate flats and increase productivity.
Comfort
Let’s not forget about the comfort which was a primarily focus on this model. There are 3 seat options available, each with adjustable armrests. All seat options also feature ComfortGlide fore/aft suspension that provides up to 2-in. of fore and aft travel to absorb bumps for enhanced ride quality. Additionally, a large open operator station and foot platform with plenty of legroom will allow for multiple foot positions and increased operator comfort.
