The Top John Deere Apps to Download This Spring
As spring and the 2020 planting season quickly approach, get your phone and tablet ready by downloading some of Deere’s best apps to help you conquer this spring. You may or may not know, John Deere has a wide variety of mobile apps available that allow you quick access to machine information, the ability to monitor field activities, help you optimize settings and in some cases even make adjustments. Plus, all the apps are free. Why not give one or two a try?

1. PlanterPlus App™
The GoPlant App from Deere is now the PlanterPlus App. Download this app to both help you set up your planter and for certain models to perform Row Runoff and Meter Performance Tests from your mobile device, to help optimize the settings on your row unit. PlanterPlus supports the ExactEmerge 1775NT, 1795, DB44, DB60, DB66, DB80, DB88, and DB90 Planters, complementing the user manual to suggest initial settings for both the machine and display and helping you connect the planter to your tractor. All that information is now right at your fingertips.
For select planter models (activation required, consult a Holland’s staff member for details), the PlanterPlus App will also let you perform Row Runoff and Meter Performance Tests from your mobile device. It’s the quickest, most efficient way to dial in your rows and conduct a meter performance test to assure accuracy in your ExactEmerge or MaxEmerge 5e Planters. Now you can start/stop tests and see real time planter stats such as population, singulation, and vacuum pressure all on your mobile device. If your planter has vacuum automation, you can adjust vacuum levels from the mobile device and see how they affect singulation for your current seed.
This app is a great tool to use in the field for planter optimization before and during planting and is available for download through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
2. ApplyPlus™ and 3. GoTill™
Two more complementary apps to the PlanterPlus App, these apps give you access to machine setup information, key adjustments, maintenance procedures and operation. Both apps also allow users to record observations and save them for future reference to ensure hours spent in the field are maximized to their fullest potential.
With the new ApplyPlus enhancements, customers can now select and buy spray nozzles from the app, easily calculate their Tank Mix for a given application, and calculate their pump rate capacity for Direct Injection.
These apps are the perfect quick reference tool for your 4 Series Sprayer and tillage operations. They are available for download through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
4. ConnectMobile™
Connect Mobile is only available for download onto an Apple iPad and is used to monitor, optimize and ensure high quality operations. The Connect Mobile App connects to the machine through a WiFi network (or using cellular data) to document and display quality, productivity, and agronomic data about the operation. The app works in conjunction with either the GreenStar™ 3 2630 or Generation 4 4600 & 4640 CommandCenter™ displays. Connect Mobile lets you easily document and visualize the agronomic and performance data of your John Deere equipment.
The John Deere Connect Mobile App can be used for planting, spraying, and harvesting operations; and requires no additional hardware with MY18 and newer Connect Mobile ready machines. Other equipment can be fitted with Connect Mobile with an additional retrofit kit (contact us for further details).

5. MyOperations™
The MyOpeations App connects you with the John Deere Operations Center to bring you machine and agronomic data anytime and anywhere. With your machines connected through JDLink, you can monitor completed field tasks that occurred today or yesterday to determine the productivity and quality of each field for a given operation like Seeding, Application, Harvest, and Tillage.
This app can help you manage your day to day logistics and improve productivity to ensure jobs are being executed this spring. It is available for download through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
