The grass mowing season is quickly approaching, and we have the perfect new accessory for you. In 2019, John Deere first introduced its  MowerPlus™ Smart Connectors to accompany the MowerPlus App™, allowing even more access to information about your lawn mower at the tips of your fingers. Smart Connectors can communicate mower engine hours and fuel level to an owner’s smartphone via Bluetooth® technology . Depending on the mower model and connector, Smart Connectors will deliver information about fuel level, battery state, hour meter information, and more to the MowerPlus App.

MowerPlus™ Smart Connector (Part # BUC10537)

  • Model year 2016 and later Select Series X300 Tractors 
  • Model year 2016 and later Select Series X500 Tractors 

MowerPlus™ Hour Meter Connector (Part # BUC10510) 

  • Model year 2021 and newer S100, S110, S140, S220
  • Model year 2003 to 2020 100 Series Tractors, including all models with an E, D, LA, or L prefix
  • Model year 2015 to 2020 S240 Tractors (serial number -880,000)
  • Model year 2021 and newer S100, S110, S140, S220 Tractors

NEW MowerPlus™ Deluxe Smart Connector (Part # BUC10929)

  • All S120, S130, S160, S170, and S180 Tractors
  • Model year 2021 and newer S240 Tractors (serial number 880,001-)
  • Model year 2021 and newer Z515E, Z530M, Z530R, and Z545R (serial number 010,001-)

Features

When synced with the MowerPlus™ App, smart connectors communicate:

  • Tractor engine hours automatically
  • Maintenance reminders and log, based on engine hours
  • Fuel level - even when away from the tractor, the app remembers information from the last synchronization, such as the fuel level
  • Help to determine the best time to mow
  • Expert pre-mow optimization tips
  • Maintenance walk-through instructions

MowerPlus App 

The MowerPlus smart connector requires the John Deere MowerPlus app on a mobile device to use. This free app can be found in the mobile device’s app store. In addition to the useful information from the smart connector, the MowerPlus App also helps users determine the best time to mow with local weather information, communicates expert pre-mow tips, offers maintenance reminders, and provides walk-through guides. Features include:

  • "Mow Now" button to track mowing metrics including aerial view of mowing path, length of mow and speed via smartphone GPS 
  • Accessible log of past mows
  • Ability to view local weather for the next five days to assist with planning mow times 
  • Tracking of maintenance intervals and additional maintenance tips that are specific to the model of the user's equipment
