Oct. 26 2021 New Products By Prairie State Tractor

Recently, John Deere released updates to their Gator™ Utility Vehicle lineup for Model Year 2022. Let's have a look!

New Tire Option

Model year 2022 full-size Gator XUV Utility Vehicles can now be ordered with Predator Heavy-Duty all-terrain radial tires. These tires are an excellent option for use on hard surface or intermediate off-road applications. Predator tires have:

  • Radial construction that provides shock absorption, allowing for a smoother ride
  • An all-terrain tread pattern that balances traction and terrain impact
  • A flat profile that increases footprint area, reducing ground pressure
  • An 8-ply rating that delivers up to three times the life of Bighorn® tires

The Predator Heavy-Duty all-terrain radial tires are an additional tire option; Terra Hawk all-terrain and Maxxis® Bighorn 2.0 extreme terrain radial tire options remain. The Predator tires are available:

  • With steel or alloy wheels
  • In yellow or black color
  • On all full-size XUV Gator Utility Vehicles including the S4 models

New Interior Color Option

XUV835R and XUV865R Utility Vehicles include a factory cab with interior trim details that are upgrades from XUV835M and XUV865M cab models. For model year 2022, these trim details are changing from a tan color scheme to a stone color scheme, which blends grey with brown tones. With the updated stone color scheme:

  • Seats are a medium stone color with dark stone accents
  • Driver seat features an embroidered John Deere leaping deer logo
  • Seat fabrics are made of a woven material
  • Dash, A and B post covers, rear panel cover, sun visors, and headliner are light stone in color
  • Door panel covers are black in color
  • XUV835R and XUV865R Utility Vehicle cab interiors look like the cab interiors of large Ag products

Long Bed Special Application Vehicle (SAV) now available to residential and farm customers

Since 2013, John Deere has been collaborating with International Automated Systems (IAS) to build special application vehicles for military, police, rescue, and security customers. The new Long Bed SAV is built on the proven John Deere XUV825/855 HDUV S4 chassis and features a 56-in. by 82-in. bed to haul larger items. These vehicles address the needs of large property owners, farmers, and ranchers, as well as the broader needs of governmental customers.

The heavy-duty powder-coated aluminum bed features stake bed sides and an automotive-style rear tailgate. A Tektite cab with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and hard surface tires are optional. The Long Bed SAV is available in olive drab, black, white, red, blue, and military tan colors.
